How much PSI will I need to use compressed air for coolant?
I am going to build a bike pump type device, powered by an electric motor, to fill a coil with compressed air and at the end is going to be something like a head with holes at the bottom and inside is a nozzle like a perfume bottle so the compressed air spreads out evenly and most efficient.
How much pressure should I use, and whats a good gear ratio if I do it on a small scale like a 6v size motor.
How are you going to cool off the air after you compress it? If you don’t cool it, when you expand it in the nozzle you will be essentially be right back where you started except the air might be a bit warmer. Remember some of the energy added to the compressed air shows up in the form of heat raising the temperature of the compressed air.
