In AutoCAD 2010 I want to set the scale to 1 inch = 100 feet How do I do that?

I’m using AutoCad 2010. Every time I type in the length of the line (500 feet for example) the line is to big for my screen. So I have to adjust the scale somehow.

You don’t need to set the scale, you just need to zoom out.

type:
z1/1200x, or simply use your scroll wheel on the mouse if you have one.
