How To Scale Drawings Autocad

By admin

AutoCAD different scales in one page?

i am going to plot my detail drawings on 24×36 paper. I have three detail drawings and they all need to be plottoed in different scale to fit in one sheet.

i need to write the scale under each detail.

questions

1- how can i scale my details (all different scales)
2- if i write the scale under each detail drawing and then scale it then the size of the notes which i write under the drawings will be different. lets say if i scale 1/4 the notes will be 1/4 scale..another detail 3/16 and the note will be scaled to 3/16 ..
i want them to be in the same size
3- where can i set the shortcuts. i want to set m for move and mi for mirror but dont know where and how to do that

thanks

Create several different viewports with different zoom scale factors 48 for 1/4″=12″, 24 for 1/2″=12″ – it’s an inverse relationship.

I generally did all my dimensioning in paperspace useing the dimscale variable.

I used to load all my ‘command’ alias in and acad.lsp routines, later in the acad.mnl file. As I type here, it appears I’ve forgotten quite a bit. Check out some acad user group pages for the c=copy changes

It’s also been four years since I last did this – prior I started on Version 2.5. There’s no one ‘correct’ way to do this.
