Am i in control of my words/ actions when on laughing gas (N2O)?
I have to get my baby cuspid (canine) tooth pulled in about three weeks and an hour after that i have to go get braces if im not still bleeding too much (sucks right?lol) and i’m worried about saying something stupid in front of my mom or the dentist. i’ve never had to get a tooth pulled or been on laughing gas so i really need help. i’m so worried. Also if anyone has had this done on a scale from 1-10 how much does this hurt? Thanks so much. Best answer gets 10 points guarenteed.
I had all four wisdom teeth pulled during one visit to the dentist. They numbed me up and then gave me the nitrous. Initially, they repaired some fillings and I thought they were simply scraping down excess filling material. In actuality, they were using an extraction tool and had already removed two of the wisdom teeth!
You’re conscious of your actions and statements (although when you have a dentist in your mouth, you really can’t talk). In terms of a 1-10 pain scale, I’d give the actual procedure a 1, and I HATE going to the dentist. Now, in terms of the recovery, make sure you get transitioned to your pain meds before their anesthetic wears off.
Beyond that, it’s really not a big deal.
And Coolio is wrong, they DO numb both sides in some cases (like mine, where I had all four wisdom teeth removed).
