Is it hard to get accepted in UCLA?
What is the best way to know who has a good chance of getting accepted into UCLA. I'm from Australia and we have no college preparatory courses. I will also need to take the SAT or I can use my single op score (score proves op need for all Australians to take to get into a university based on its op is high enough)
UCLA is extremely competitive. On its website, say they give preference to residents of California, then to U.S. applicants, and finally to international students. I copied the following from their website. It part of what we ask students: Academic Requirements To be considered for admission to UCLA, foreign students must have completed high school with a higher average in academic subjects and have earned a certificate of completion that allows the student to be admitted to a university in the country of origin. The Students who have attended school under the British system must have five GCSE ordinary level examination and at least three Advanced Placement exams with honors. The results of supplementary or advanced-level exams should also be submitted. Students enrolled in the India / Pakistan post-secondary system that in the undergraduate case, unless you have earned a bachelor's degree in engineering or a Master in any other area, in which case they must apply for admission to a graduate program. Transcripts and Official Records of the UCLA requires registration of all secondary schools attended, subjects are taken and grades received, and national government licenses or work. Documents of all college courses must also be sent in the original language with English translation. Do not send these documents now.
