How long does it take to get GRE scores?
I'm taking the GRE (both general and subject tests) this fall. I'm English, therefore important to be taken Literature in English examination. I know that is offered in October and November, and I have the intention of finishing my thesis in October so you can send requests in November and December as most deadlines around January. If I can take the test in November, my results are sent to schools time, right? Can someone who has taken the GRE tell me about the time it took before they received their graduate school grades, and is the time frame thereof for general and subject tests or one takes longer? Thanks for any advice!
Grad schools will receive scores in time. Anyone who being applied directly from bachelor's probably going to take the tests in the same month, even if your score is received shortly after the deadlines of the programs will be handled. None of the teachers look at the applications until they return from vacation anyway, really. You will take the general GRE on a computer and have your verbal and quantitative results immediately. Score writing takes a little longer to return, I would say it was maybe six weeks?
