Renting a car with nothing but cash?
SO – long story short, I’m breaking up with my BF and trying to make it go as smoothly as humanly possible.
He has been out of work for 19 months, has no bank account, no credit cards, no car, no car insurance, his credit score was so low it didn’t even show up on the FICO scale and I really do not want his family coming into my house and helping him move stuff out (and the following issues of how 99% of the house is actually all my stuff and I’d like to keep it that way).
So, I’d like to just give him CASH to get a rental car so he can pack himself up and go, but is this possible? Will he able to rent a car on cash and a drivers license alone? No credit cards, a historically bad credit rating, etc…? How does that work? I don’t want to rent it FOR him because I do not want my name attached to anything…? How much of a deposit would someone in his situation need?
